RIVAC

Proving its value every time the engine starts, the RIVAC is the work horse of the Airlift Hovercraft family. Designed specifically to perform in harsh, remote environments, this hovercraft has excellent load carrying capacity, high durability and impressively low maintenance requirements.

Several key design features make the RIVAC 680 a stand out hovercraft, for both commercial and private users. The low skirt pressure design makes it less sensitive to skirt damage or terrain porosity; the semi-inflatable construction provides a large and stable work platform with excellent lifting capacity; the inflatable collar provides a resilient buffer around the perimeter of the hull; the petrol engine is a standard automotive type with fuel injection for safety and economy; and all fuel and exhaust systems are made from fire proof and corrosion resistant materials.

In order to cater for a range of uses and budgets, the RIVAC has the choice of airlift systems – either an integrated lift and thrust system in the basic model, or a separate propeller and hydraulic driven lift fan in the preferred model. Both systems work well, although they offer different advantages. Additionally, for ease of transport or storage the RIVAC can be packed into a 20ft shipping container.

HOVERCRAFT AND THE ENVIRONMENT

Airlift Hovercrafts have a low impact on the environment: Damage to the shore environment is virtually nil and accidental fluid discharges or leaks are fully contained within the hull structure. All Airlift Hovercraft are fully amphibious and their movement across water and land creates less impact than conventional vehicles ... FIND OUT MORE
